Results for the year to 30 April 2011 demostrated the tough environment Sceptre Leisure faces in the near term. Revenue slipped to £38.6m (2010: £42.8m and profit before tax fell to £1.64m (2010: £1.91m). Basic earnings per share were 2.5p versus 3.0p a year earlier. Nevertheless, good progress has been made and the balance sheet continues to strengthen. The shares remain a BUY.
