2 December 2010 – acquisition

The company has signed an agreement to acquire a 51% interest in the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) from the Bahamian Government.  BTC is the exclusive mobile operator in the Bahamas, as well as being a leading provider of fixed-line and broadband services.  The purchase is costing CWC US$210m and will be funded from existing cash balances and debt facilities.  This is a good acquisition for CWC and continue to rate the shares as a BUY.
