The specialist engineering group Chamberlin has raised £500,000 through a placing of shares with the Diverse Income Trust, which is managed by MAM Funds. The shares were priced at 135p, a premium of 8% over last night’s closing price. The Diverse Income Trust is managed by Gervais Williams, who until recently ran smaller company company funds at Gartmore. He is a well-respected fund manager and this must be seen as good news for the group. BUY.
