One of the frustrating issues for investors in small companies quoted on AIM is that share prices can be very volatile. This is largely due to the lack of interest in such companies, as well as the lack of research on the companies concerned. This often leads to a spike in a company’s share price around the time of its results, assuming these are positive, but then a gradual fall off over the following weeks as there is no other newsflow, and even relatively small share sales can have a significant impact on the share price.
