The industrial group Essentra has announced interim results for the six month period to 30 June and these have come in much as expected.  The company, which supplies cigarette filters, packaging materials and  plastic and metal components, reported a 6% increase in revenues compared to last year as these rose to £475m (2020: £448m), with adjusted pre-tax profits rising by 35% to £29m (2020: £21m).  Earnings pr share on the same basis were 24% higher at 7.7p (2020: 6.2p) and the interim dividend was restored with a payment of 2p (2020: nil . . .
