The UK's largest housebuilder has announced a trading update to coincide with its AGM and this has confirmed that trading conditions in the housing market remain very difficult. In the 17 weeks from 29 June 2026 to 25 October 2026 the group reported 3,223 completions compared with 3,665 last year with pressure on affordability and whilst the new help to housebuilders announced in the budget may help the company, it is too early to assess its impact. The company has maintained its forward guidance for the year with 17,100 completions expected . . .
