The group has announced the acquisition of Infochem Computer Services for £9.5m as it expands into the upstream oil and gas industry. Infochem is a provider of specialised software and services and its acquisition will complement KBC’s presence in the downstream market. It is expected that the acquisition will be earnings enhancing in 2012. KBC shares remain a BUY.
