The specialist distributor of fuel, food and animal feed has issued its results for the year to 31 May and these have come in slightly ahead of expectations. Revenue for the year declined to £903m (2024: £951m), largely reflecting the lower oil price and lower prices for agricultural feed, although headline pre-tax profits increased to £13.2m (2024: £12.5m). Earnings per share on the same basis fell slightly to 18.6p from 19.2p although the annual dividend was increased to 8.4p (2024: 8.1p). The fuel and feeds businesses performed well although . . .
