The company has announced annual results for the 53 weeks to 3 April and these have revealed that revenues rose to £947m compared with £847m the previous year although the latter was only a 52 week period.  Excluding week 53, the increase in sales was 10.3%.  Adjusted pre-tax profits rose to £117.9m (2020: £93.3m) although again excluding week 53 the increase was 23.5%.  Earnings per share on the same basis were 11.2p, an increase of 22.8% excluding week 53.  Net debt at the year end had fallen to . . .
