The supplier of specialist technology and scientific equipment has announced another acquisition with the purchase of PRP Optoelectronics Ltd for £9.3m in cash. The latter designs and manufactures custom made high performance microLEDs and LED devices for a range of applications in the avionics, defence and electrical sectors. PRP is a profitable and growing business serving a critical and technical niche especially within the aerospace and defence markets where its products are used in the Eurofighter Typhoon, F -16 and F - 22 Raptor.
