The leading housebuilder has announced its interim results for the six month period to 31 December and although these have revealed lower revenues of £2.25bn (2020: 2.49bn) it must be remembered that the prior year benefited from a large number of sales post the end of the first lockdown.  This was also reflected in the number of completions which were down 11% at 8,067 (2020: 9,077).   However, an improvement in margins saw pre-tax profits increase slightly to £432.6m (2020: £430.2m) with earnings per share up to 34.5p . . .
