The waste management group Biffa has justified last month's tip to buy on weakness by issuing a positive AGM statement.   The first three months of the current financial year, covering the three months to 30 June, have seen revenues up by 10% since the equivalent period two years ago (ie pre-pandemic) and recycled commodity prices are at their highest since 2018.  The fortunes of the group depend on the continued recovery in the UK economy although if the easing of lockdown remains in place the company expects profits to be around 10% higher . . .
