The independent publishing group Bloomsbury has announced the acquisition of certain assets of Red Global Press (RGP), the academic publisher for £3.7m. RBG specialises in high-quality publishing for students in higher education, notably in social sciences and business and management, and has a backlog of over 7,000 titles. It publishes over 100 new titles per annum. This looks a good fit for the existing Bloomsbury academic publishing business and the shares remain a BUY
