The company has acquired funkypigeon.com from WH Smith for cash consideration of £24m. The company is an established online business selling personalised greetings cards and gifts and its purchase will significantly enhance the group's online offering which is currently cardfactory.co.uk. Over the last two years funkypigeon.com has generated average revenues of £32m per annum and EBITDA of around £5m. Once the deal completes the group will be the second largest online card and attached gift retailer in the UK. The group will be in a unique position in the UK market . . .
