The company has confirmed press speculation that it has received a proposal for a possible cash offer for the company from the US hedge fund Elliott Advisers - this was priced at 62p per share, a useful premium of almost 32% on Friday's closing price of 47p.  There are now reports that the Chinese group JD.com could also enter the fray.  The shares have moved up above the suggested offer price indicating that the market believes an offer will materialise and that it will need to be above the 62p level to succeed.  Regular . . .
