The company is the fifth largest motor retailer in the UK trading under brands including Vertu, Farrell and Bristol Street Motors.  All its showrooms in England re-opened on 1 June with the 12 showrooms in Scotland opening on 29 June.  Trading during the month was stronger than expected and the group recorded an adjusted pre-tax profit of £9.0m during the month, compared with an adjusted loss before tax of £14.2m in the period March to May.  Retail sales were strong although volumes in the fleet market were more subdued, perhaps not . . .
