Portmeirion fired up for further recovery

Portmeirion Group (670p) is well established as a designer, manufacturer and worldwide distributor of homewares under the Portmeirion, Spode, Royal Worcester, Pimpernel, Wax Lyrical and Nambé brands. After a strong first half the company has stated that it is confident of achieving market expectations for the full year. However, consensus market forecasts for 2021 are revenue of £90m and profit before tax of £6.4m, which we feel is on the pessimistic side and there is a good chance that expectations will be exceeded.
